VirtueMart - Setting up Shipping

Outline

The shipping module that we support and have setup by default is called 'Flex Shipping'. This is the simplest and quickest option for shipping. Using this, the shipping for your shopping cart will be:

• Set $__________ amount for shipping on orders below a total of $_________ 

• Shipping is _____% of order total on orders above the order total you entered above.

 For example:

• $8.50 amount for shipping on orders below a total of $25 

• Shipping is 9% of order total on orders above $25.

To do this:

1. Login and go to your Virtuemart Shopping Cart Page
2. From the left menu choose: 'Store' > 'Shopping Module List'
3. Click the 'Configure Ship Method' next to the green checkbox of the 'Flex' line.
4. Fill out the information fields - mouse of the information button for details on that field.
5. Click 'Save'

If you would like to use a shipping module other than the Flex Module:

1. From the left Virtuemart Menu: 'Admin' > 'Configuration'
2. Choose the 'Shipping' tab
3. Check the box next to any of the shipping module(s) you want to use. These are the options for shipping:
• Australia Post
• Sell Online Shipping from Canada Post
• DHL
• FedEx
• Flex Shipping
• Inter Shipper
• Shipping based on order totals
• Standard with individual configured carriers
• UPS Online
• USPS
• Zone Shipping per Country
4.  Click 'Save' one you have your shipping method selected.
5. From the left menu choose: 'Store' > 'Shipping Module List'
6. Find the shipping module you are using (it will have a green checkmark in the 'enabled' column)
7. Click 'Configure Ship Method'
8. Setup the shipping module and click 'Save'
• To setup the shipping module just fill out the necessary fields. If you need further clarification of the fields you can mouse over the information button or visit the Virtuemart Help Manual for Shipping Modules.
