If you find that the products are not laying out how you would like when you are viewing them in their category, this is how to change them:

1. Log in to your sites admin
2. From top menu: 'Components' > 'Virtuemart'
3. From the left menu: 'Products' > 'Category List'
4. Click on the category you are wanting to change the layout of the products
   
5. On the 'Category Information' tab edit the following:
• Show x products per row: you can choose how many products you would like to show per row, typically 1 or 2
• Category Browse Page: this lets you choose how the products are displayed, choose what is best for you, and experiment with the options. Typically choose:
• For multiple images per row with no description (just price, image and product name): 'mupltiple_per_row'
• For a single image per row, with price, image, product name and description: 1_product_per_row
• For multiple images per row with a description (price, image and product name and short description): multiple_w_description
• Category Flypage: do not change this
6. Click 'Save'

You can now go to your home page, and navigate to the category you edited to see if the layout is now how you would like it.

 
If you do not see the options mentioned above please submit a support ticket asking for those options to be added.
