VirtueMart - Configuring Your Store

Outline

The first time you enter your shopping cart administration you want to make sure it is configured for your particular store, (this is included in the Supreme Package) to do this:

  1. Log in to administration
  2. From top menu: 'Components' > 'Virtuemart'
  3. From the left menu: 'Store' > 'Edit Store'
  4. Fill out the following sections (if a field is not required you may leave it blank): 
    • Store:
      • Store Name (required)
      • Store Company Name (required)
      • URL (address of your website including http://) (required)
      • Address 1
      • Address 2
      • City
      • Country (required)
      • State (required)
      • Zip (required)
      • Phone
      • Store Address Format (do not change this)
      • Store Date Format (do not change this)
    • Contact Information
      • Last Name
      • First Name
      • Middle Name
      • Title
      • Phone 1
      • Phone 2
      • Fax
      • Email (required)
    • Store Information
      • Upload Image: (required) browse for an image file of your logo 
      • Minimum purchase order value for your store: if you want only orders above $x, enter it here
      • Minimum Amount for Free Shipping: if you want orders above $x to receive free shipping, enter it here
    • Currency Display Style
      • Leave this alone if you are using the US Dollar, if not, change accordingly
    • Description
      • Here you can entire a site description, this will be shown at the top of your 'Shopping' Page, you may leave this blank
    • Terms of Service
      • Here you can enter your terms of service, you may leave this blank
