Backing Up Your Website

You are responsible for keeping a backup of your website. To perform a backup:

1. From your admin top menu: ‘Components’ > ‘Joomla Pack’ or 'Akeeba Backup' > ‘Backup Now’
2. Click ‘Backup Now!’ at the bottom of the page
3. Allow the backup to complete, do not browse to any other page
   

Download the backup to your computer:

1. From your admin top menu: ‘Components’ > ‘Joomla Pack’ or 'Akeeba Backup' > ‘Administer Backup Files’
2. Click the check mark next to the latest download
3. Click ‘Download’ from the top right corner of the page
   

To make sure not to slow down your site please be sure to only keep up to 1-2 backups of your site in the admin. To remove backups:

1. From your admin top menu: ‘Components’ > ‘Joomla Pack’ or 'Akeeba Backup' > ‘Administer Backup Files’
2. Click the check mark next to the old download
3. Click ‘Delete’ from the top right corner of the page
