Joomla Tutorial - Adding Content Under/Over Left Menu or at the top of Content

Outline

1. Log in to the Administration
2. From the top menu: 'Extensions' > 'Module Manager'
3. Click the green 'new button'
4. Select 'Custom HTML' from the list
5. Enter the following:
• Title
• Show title- this will either hide or show the title you entered
• Publish - Set yes to show this content, no to turn it off
• Position -
  
• to position under the left menu with no formatting choose = advertisement2
• to position under the left menu with same formatting as the menu = left
• to position above the left menu with no formatting choose = advertisement1
• to position at the top of the page above the content and under the header = featured
  
• Menu assignment - choose the pages you would like this content to show on
6. Enter your content in the text and image editor
7. Click 'Save'
